Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join them on an initial 12 month contractual basis, with a remote working contract.
With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.
What you'll do:
- Working in an environment where engineering is key: no cloud, no clicks, but real work with open-source technologies, containers, and Linux.
- Contributing to the development of a robust infrastructure that meets strict security and compliance requirements, such as NIS regulations.
- Managing your workload and working autonomously, but with weekly/regular online meetings with colleagues and leadership to plan actions and track activity.
What you'll need:
- In-depth technical knowledge of a Windows based environment with VMware and/or open-source systems and experience deploying software in a non-cloud environment
- Ability to support migrations to Windows Server 2025
- Strong virtualisation and VMWare knowledge, ideally version 8.0
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Windows Deployment Services (WDS) for laptop rollouts
- Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Familiarity with integrating AI tools (where relevant).
