Mechanical Project Engineer – Contract - Italy

Are you local to Paterno and looking for your next contract assignment? Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organisation, are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their newly assembled team and help contribute towards the development of their next core projects.  

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Project Manager in planning and executing mechanical engineering tasks related to the Manufacturing line activities.
  • Lead the preparation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders for equipment, materials, and services.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide regular budget overviews and cost reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of mechanical systems.
  • Review technical documentation including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and installation drawings.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong experience in industrial or manufacturing project environments.
  • Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and budget management.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
